Xentra’s Maner Puyawan Recognized at the 2024 Golden Pearl Awards for Trailblazing Leadership in IT

At the 2024 Philippine Heritage Gala Night and Golden Pearl Awards, Xentra Chairman, Maner Puyawan was honored for his trailblazing work in the information technology industry, particularly for his leadership at Xentra, a company that has redefined IT outsourcing and digital solutions. 

The Golden Pearl Awards 

On October 12, 2024, the Filipino American Heritage Foundation (FAHF) held its much-anticipated Philippine Heritage Gala Night at the stunning Milan Ballroom of M Resort Spa Casino in Henderson, Nevada. The event, themed “Dreams… Making them Realities,” was a grand celebration honoring the contributions of Filipino Americans to mainstream society, while also marking Filipino American History Month. 

At the heart of the 2024 Philippine Heritage Gala Night, the Golden Pearl Awards took center stage, recognizing exceptional Filipino Americans for their extraordinary contributions to both their professions and the community in Nevada.   

Among the distinguished honorees were professionals who have made outstanding achievements in their respective fields and continue to inspire through their work and advocacy. These awardees were celebrated for their professional excellence, community involvement, cultural advocacy, and positive impact on society, embodying the spirit of resilience and determination that the Filipino American community upholds. 

For civic engagement and politics, the Golden Pearl Award was given to Assemblywoman and the first Filipina legislator in Nevada, Erica Mosca. For education and healthcare, the Golden Pearl Award was given to Dr. Reimund Serafica, associate professor at University of Nevada and a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator. For contributions and success in information technology, the Golden Pearl Award was given to Xentra Chairman, Maner Puyawan.

As a leader in the IT field, Maner has not only been instrumental in advancing technology but also in fostering the community. His visionary work in the mobile payment sector has set new benchmarks for efficiency and innovation, earning him this prestigious recognition.

It’s never easy to write something like this.

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to wind down the operations of Xentra Infotech Solutions, Inc. (Philippines).

This decision comes after a challenging period, and while it marks the end of this chapter for our Philippine entity, it does not define the entirety of Xentra’s journey.

What This Means

  • Xentra InfoTech Solutions, Inc. (Philippines) will be closing its operations
  • Xentra Solutions, LLC (USA) will continue to operate and support our clients
  • All active engagements will be properly transitioned to ensure continuity where applicable

We remain fully committed to honoring our obligations and maintaining the level of service our clients expect.

Why This Decision Was Made

Like many businesses, we faced a combination of challenges that became unsustainable over time. Despite significant efforts and continued investment, we reached a point where closing our Philippine operations was the most responsible path forward.

This decision was not made lightly.

Looking Ahead

While this marks the end of one part of our organization, Xentra USA continues forward—supporting clients, delivering work, and building on what we’ve created.

The relationships, learnings, and foundations built through Xentra Philippines will continue to shape what comes next.
